Tokyo Keiki Inc. contributes for a creation of social environments of safety and comfortable living for people, by providing high quality of products and services with developing products of human senses of operations such as measuring, recognition, and controlling by the advanced technologies of electronics. We visited Nasu Plant and interviewed with Fumio Kobori, Manager of Plant Control Section in Electronics Business Division.
【Vibration Gyro Sensor 】
In addition to the research and development of numerous advanced technologies, Tokyo Keiki Inc.- Nasu plant manufactures such as defence equipment (radar warning, gyro compass ), marine traffic equipment (high resolution radar, marine traffic control system, AIS land station), information communication equipment (microwave module), communication control equipment (antenna direction system, mobile satellite communication antenna stabilizer), and gyro sensor applied equipment (vibratory rate gyro, servo accelerometers).
Because Nasu plant is also a research center for super high resolution sensors, Nasu area is an optimum place for testing without disturbing noises such as vibrations and unwanted radio waves.
In addition to rich natural environments, well-arranged transportation infrastructure is also an appealing point of Nasu area.
A good access to the Tokyo metropolitan area with one and half hours from Nasushiobara to Tokyo by Tohoku Shinkansen, and two hours by expressway.
Tochigi Prefecture is superior in the transportation infrastructures.
【Ring Laser Gyro】
From Nasu plant, which aiming to harmonize beautiful nature of Nasu-Kogen and advanced technologies, various products have been rolled out. Our main gyro products have been evolved, from mechanical-gyro to optical fiber-gyro or ring laser-gyro, to meet with sophisticated social needs. High precision servo accelerators used for seismometer sensors to measures the intensity of earthquake also produced in the plant. Other products used in our daily life include, antenna auto directing equipment and camera stabilizer. On TV broadcasting, you may see a clear overview of video movie shot from a helicopter without any vibrations or distortions. In such a scene, antenna auto directing equipment and camera stabilizer help to provide a stable video wave transmission at any posture of the flying helicopter. When you have a chance to see such a birds eyes view video, it would be appreciated very much if you remember our technologies and products.
In Nasu plant, we have many employees organized in local fire teams, they can be dispatched as firemen even in working hours, in case of emergencies of fire.
Previously, our company ground was used for an evacuation training for large-scaled disasters. Some employees are working as a safety driving instructor in Nasushiobara district of Tochigi Prefecture Safety Driving Association.
Nasu plant is contributing to the local community through such activities. The feature of our activities is that every employs are cooperating with the local people and are playing their own rolls one by one.
