Our company manages development, production, and marketing of medical equipment such as surgical needles, surgical instruments, dental instruments, and ophthalmic instruments.
Our products are made with company's many years of accumulated original processing technologies of stainless steel, and the world first stainless-steel-made surgical needle was developed. By adopting and developing the base technologies, our businesses have been extended into dental equipment and ophthalmic equipment also.

Our main products including needles for surgeries, dental roots treatment instruments, and ophthalmic knives, those products used for treatments and surgeries are produced.
Kiyohara plant incorporates the headquarter's functions with production line, and marketing, development, and production are integrally made In here. There is other facilities in Takanezawa where dental products are manufactured.

Tochigi Prefecture and its Business Environment

Originally there was no specific reasons for selecting Tochigi, but there are several famous and distinguished hospitals and a good location in not so far from Tokyo. Our product's export ratio is about 70 %, and because of surgical devices the opinion of doctors are very important, and the requirements or detailed preferences of Japanese doctors are the most severe in the global market, so if products are accepted well in Japan it will be accepted in the other countries too.

Since our products are physically small and precise, we believe, an environment where workers can concentrate into their production activities is important. Incidentally noisy environment, such as bustling surroundings or in the middle of city center, may not fit for our production, in this meaning our surrounding environment is excellent.
Especially, we feel the geographical distance from Tokyo is a biggest advantage for us. In another words, it takes a time for things happened in Tokyo to get into here, from the stand point of corporate management, it is advantageous that we can get a time to prepare or plan counter measures.

【 Ophthalmic Knife】

Our company developed the world first surgical needle made of stainless steel.
About 50 years ago when our company was founded, only easily rusted surgical needles were available, and the study was initiated by a request from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Now a days, we often see stainless steel products, but at that time, it is not even normally thought about to apply stainless steel as a raw material, we selected stainless steel as a a solution in the such time.

Stainless steel has a feature of not getting rusted easily but it's very soft, our development was succeeded by finding of best suitable stainless steel material created through numerous tries and errors by changing compositions and structures with establishing the polishing technologies of it.

Our products are developed and manufactured with aiming "The best quality in the world" always. To develop and maintain "The best quality in the world" products, unique program "The best or not meeting" are held twice a year to pursuing the quality assurance and production activities,
To maintain the best quality in the production processes, optical and mechanical checking system is applied for finished products, and additionally every product is visually inspected at the final stage by human workers.

In addition, we have our rule of product development "Do not design or develop new products which will not become the world No.1 or 2 market share in the future". We are always aiming to the world market share, and striving to develop our business from Tochigi to all over the world. 　

Contributing Local Community

Our cleaning activities of surrounding areas and traffic safety activities are organized three to four times per year through mainly the Industrial Park Administrative Association.
Some employees are working as a leader of the local community, or as a member of the fire team. We believe it is our company's responsibility to support employee's activities for the local contributions, we are planing to improve our company's supporting rules for such employees.

As contributions for environment aspect, we are pursuing saving resources, 3 R (reduce, reuse, and recycle) and saving energies with taking a slogan of " We, as a provider of medical equipment, always keep the importance of life and environment in minds, and aiming to safe and effectively workable work-places, pursue activities with participation of entire staffs". Further, we are actively working on under the guidelines of the Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, and obtained an approval of "ISO 14001" for environment management system, and an approval of "OHSAS 18001" for the Occupational Health and Safety management system.
