National Land Use Planning Act

Followings are applicable when procedures based on laws or ordinances, etc. are required.

When
(The timing of procedures)		 Within 2 weeks from the date of conclusion (including the date of the agreement) of the land purchasing agreement, etc.
Who
(Procedure Targets)		 The purchaser who acquired (including a land lease contract with lump sum),

・2,000 m2 or more for urbanization areas

・5,000 m2 or more for city planning areas

・10,000 m2 or more for other than city planning areas

What
(Documents)
a. Notification of buying and selling the land (ex post facto notification) based on the National Land Use Planning Act. Download
b. Topographical map (road map etc.)of more than 1:50,000 scale indicating the location of the land
c. Drawing of more than 1:5,000 scale (housing map etc.) indicating the conditions of the land and neighbors.
d. Drawing( a copy of cadastral map etc.) indicating the shape of the land.
e. Copy of the land buying and selling contract or alternative other documents.
f. Power of attorney ( ※ only in case authority is given to third party when notified).
Where
(Procedure Office)		 2 copies each (one original and one copy) of above documents to municipality the notified land is located. ※The power of attorney shall be attached only on the original.
How
(Examination Contents)
Purpose of use (whether complies with the Land Use Basic Act or other planning related with the use of land) (whether appropriates for the development plan of public and public interest facility, or for preservation of natural environment.) Flow of Procedures
Processing Period Within 3 weeks from the receipt of notifications. ( When there was an extension notice for the examination period, the extended period does not exceed 6 months)
